It’s easy to talk about the long-term cost savings resulting from the installation of green power. Nevertheless, that still requires a large up-front investment. A safe estimate for a home wind turbine system is probably around 40k. It’s easily 50% more than that to install solar panels at home.

This makes saving on green power seem like a rich man’s activity. But it doens’t have to be. There are a lot of funding sources out there. I am currently working on putting together a list of funding sources for home green power projects. I will try to keep these up to date as more and more arise.
